We had such a nice time in TC. Thanks so much to the Neirmans for letting us stay with them. They were wonderful hosts. Our 8 days were action packed and fun. Almost every day we either went to the beach or went out on the boat. Both boys went tubing (Ethan for the first time) and we all enjoyed the warm weather. Perri watched the boys one night so Jason and I could go out to dinner and celebrate our 7-year wedding anniversary. Max's favorite part was riding the rides at the Elk Rapids carnival and Ethan's favorite part was playing with with the Neirman's dog, Bogie. We can't wait to go back.

He can do it! Ethan knows how to write his name all by himself. He knows how to make each letter and what order they go in. We're so proud of him.

Two corns in a field

Max and Ethan had a blast at Grandma and Grandpa Schiller's house these last few days. Grandpa got the fort all cleaned up and looking like new so the boys had lots to do. Max slid down the fireman's pole just like I remember doing it, and Ethan had a blast on the rings. The boys both got to play with their cousin Caleb, had fun riding on his go-cart, explored the barns, ate s'mores and caught fire flies (well at least one made it alive into the jar).

We had a wonderful day today. It's my second week off for the summer and the boys and I are really enjoying our time together. We spent about 3 hours at Independence Oaks today. Ethan caught a tree frog, but unfortunately I didn't have my camea with me. The boys played at the beach and we had a nice picnic lunch.

Later in the day the boys washed my car, though in this picture it looks more like they were washing themselves. (For the record they were using a very mild dish soap.)

We learn something new every day- right? Today I learned that even unbreakable bowls that I've had since my freshman year of college can be broken by a 4 year old.

Well, right now a "biting dinosaur" is trying to get me to help him with Lincoln logs, so I better go!

Our Big Backyard

The boys have been having a blast in our backyard this spring. Getting an up close look at a blue racer snake was one of the season's highlights. Jason snapped this photo while I was at work. He assures me that the boys were never in danger. I don't know. It looks like a pretty big snake to me.
